20kW Elevated Residential Solar PV System Designed by Fluxiss

Residential Solar PV System Designs

Due to client NDA commitments, the showcased projects represent only a portion of our work and not the full scope of what we’ve delivered.

From Rooftop to Power: 20kW Elevated Residential Solar PV System Designed by Fluxiss

At Fluxiss we help homeowners, builders, and energy companies turn rooftop space into reliable solar power. This project shows how our solar panel design and calculation service supports residential clients with clear engineering, accurate simulations, and ready-to-build documentation—no matter the country or grid standard.

Smart 20kW Residential Solar Design for Real Homes

Many residential roofs are not built for standard ground-mounted solar layouts. This project required an elevated solar PV structure to keep the roof usable while still meeting safety and performance goals. Fluxiss was engaged to handle the complete solar system design, calculations, and energy simulation for a 20kW residential setup.

The system was designed using 34 Jinko 585W solar modules with a 20kW Inverex Nitrox 3-Phase inverter, installed on an RCC roof with a south-facing orientation and a low tilt angle for stable year-round output.

The Challenge: Roof Height, Structure, and Zero Shading

Every solar project has its own limits. In this case, the main challenges were:

  • Designing an elevated structure with heights ranging from 7 ft to 10 ft
  • Maintaining a low tilt angle (6.2°) without compromising energy yield
  • Ensuring 0.0% shading loss across the year
  • Balancing DC string sizing with inverter MPPT limits
  • Preparing drawings and calculations that could move directly to construction

Residential projects demand accuracy because even small errors affect safety, output, and approvals.

The Fluxiss Approach: Clear Design, Clean Calculations

Fluxiss handled the project from concept to simulation using industry-standard tools like HelioScope and PVSyst. Our engineers focused on:

  • Accurate string configuration (17 + 17 modules per MPPT)
  • Electrical sizing based on real operating conditions
  • Integrated DC disconnect and fuse box design for safety
  • Structural layout that avoids shading from parapet walls or nearby objects.
  • Detailed component specs for easy procurement and installation

We kept the design practical, simple, and aligned with residential installation realities.

The Result: Stable Output and Construction-Ready Design

The final simulation delivered strong and realistic performance numbers:

  • Annual Energy Production: 31.84 MWh
  • Performance Ratio: 77.9%
  • Shading Loss: 0.0%

More importantly, the client received a construction-ready engineering package—drawings, layouts, electrical details, and performance data that installers and stakeholders can trust.

Why Companies Choose Fluxiss for Solar Design

Fluxiss provides solar panel design and calculation services for residential, commercial, and utility-scale projects. We focus on:

  • Real engineering, not sales talk
  • Designs that installers can actually build
  • Clear reports for approvals, investors, and clients

Whether your project is in the US or any other region, our process stays consistent, accurate, and transparent.
