In this project, Fluxiss was invited to the team to conduct pipe stress analysis on various systems like mechanical and gas piping. The plantroom was the core emphasis and space limitation and economy of construction played prime issues here.
Pipe Stress Analysis Approach
Our initial action involved the inspection of the entire piping plan and the spots at which the expansion or contraction brought about by thermal influences might lead to stress and displacement, or misalignment. We did not rush out to change the design; we preferred the flexibility of the basic system. It has helped in reducing our stress load without making the situation more complex, or adding costs associated with it.
Developing a Cost-Effective Expansion Strategy
The primary objective was to come up with an expansion strategy that did not need significant redesign. The routing and support configuration analyzed in order to find out where a movement can be taken up naturally. By tweaking support points and permitting limited flexibility in some pipe runs, we were able to ensure we were not under dangerous stresses in any of the piping.
A Practical Pipe Engineering Solution
We developed a simple solution to our pipe engineering problem by using what was already there with smartness. We did not over engineer but included simple repairs that complemented the layout we had. This has limited the cost of the project as well as easing the installation of the project by the site team.
Pipe stress analysis is not only numbers, it is about knowing how a system will behave and how best we can make it safe in the most efficient way. At Fluxiss, we are faithful to the real world solutions. So if you are in need of a team that is capable of providing smart but cost effective results that are not overcomplicated? Then we are the team.
