Due to client NDA commitments, the showcased projects represent only a portion of our work and not the full scope of what we've delivered.

Challenge

The brief, and the constraint.

The client needed thermal verification of 66kV transformer rooms in a Middle East substation, with peak temperatures held below insulation class limits under worst-case summer ambient.

Approach

How we engineered it.

We built a conjugate heat transfer CFD model in ANSYS Fluent, applied solar gain and peak-load boundary conditions, and verified ventilation flow rates against ASHRAE 62.1 with a documented mesh independence study.

Result

What shipped.

Peak temperatures were held below the insulation class limit and the ventilation scheme was approved without upsizing fans, with the mesh independence study accepted on first review.

“Transformer thermal limits are non-negotiable - you either prove the room stays cool or you oversize fans at the client's cost. A defensible mesh independence study is what gets the no-upsizing sign-off.”
